But I would walk five hundred miles

And I would walk five hundred more

Just to be the man who walked a thousand miles

To fall down at your door

I've seen some with 450k miles....

I worked on an Alpina B7 with something like 110k I think...

I used to work at a BMW specialty shop and we say some high mileage BMW's and some odd ones too.

480000 on 86 528e. My dad finally got rid of it 3 or 4 years ago. Nothing really wrong with it just tired of it sitting there.

Not bad. Mind got wandering as I rolled through some cheap 3 series adds (which obv. = higher mileage) and thought about the Volvo legends. Then thought about the 'Ol German engineering but haven't heard any mileage myths attached.

BMW's are great cars, just as anytihng else is, its maintenance that people forget to do that kills them..

Or it it's an E46 its the oil pump unbolting itself and plotting an escape.

Good thing (read bad) I'm not more cash flush. I love me some older 5 series and I could be there in under an hour lol

I saw an e28 on ebay once with a claimed 1,400,000something miles, probably on the body? It was burgundy. It may have been a typo, but somehow didn't seem like it.

The slush box on my first one went bad at 244,000, prompting me to part it out.

A more important question: What's the most turn signal uses ever seen on a BMW?

picture minus kidneys will go up after Kinja bullshit is over.
